I must share this with you. I was reading Embers by Mary Kirk last night and found the BEST paragraph I've read in quite some time. My darlings, if I didn't share this, I do believe I would die of sorrow and selfishness.
She shot a glance at his naked torso, and he laughed. The pleased, earthy sound was entirely male, and it seemed to resonate inside her, as if her body had suddenly been tuned to his special masculine frequency.
Ms. Kirk also has the heroine stand close enough to count Connor's eyelashes. From a practical point of view, however, endeavoring in such an exercise would be extremely unattractive. Crossed eyes and that sweet, smiling mouth...she wouldn't look very bright.
